Colombo, November 21st, 2014,– In order to increase ticket sales through non-IATA travel agents and Corporates, Nairobi based Kenya Airways recently implemented the renowned Evinta Aviation Suite offered by Sri Lankan IT company JKCS (www.jkcsworld.com). Evinta also permits collaborated corporate clients to control and manage their travel reservations at their convenience uncovering a plethora of revenue generation opportunities for the Airline.
Evinta Corp - the solution used by Kenya Airways – is one module of the Evinta multi-channel distribution platform. Other modules include an Internet Booking Engine, Frequent Flyer mile redemption, Ancillary service module, Promotions module and complete administration and reporting features. This flag carrier of Kenya, with a fleet of over 45 aircrafts flying to 7 regions worldwide aims to ensure convenience for their Travel agents and Corporate clients through Evinta Corp.
Travel agents and businesses can now pay for bookings through several means: credit card, on account (pre-paid or postpaid), on-hold bookings and mobile bookings. Evinta Corp facilitates agents registered with the airline to make reservations for customers with comprehensive features. It also supports managing bookings in terms of rescheduling, cancelling, ticketing, re-routing and removing passengers. The Corporate engine is dedicated to servicing the corporate customers in managing their bookings and has the same advanced functionality as the travel agent module on managing reservations. The administration module; the “control panel” of the system enables the airline to specify master data, implement application access control, and specify business rules of the airline. Notably, Evinta Corp delivers a 360 degree analysis of business through its querying and reporting functionality.
“Adding to the many airlines we have already served in Africa, Kenya Airways is our most recent customer and it has been an exciting venture partnering with them. Evinta Corp is specialized in streamlining revenue through better partner management and we strongly believe this would be of optimum benefit to KQ in making it big out on the aviation arena, with the growing competition,” said JC Ekanayake – CEO JKCS
Evinta’s revolutionary “cloud based” software for not only airlines but also ground handlers and airports has processed nearly 20 million passengers to date. Some of the world’s star class airlines sit on the top shelf of Evinta’s customer display. The Evinta DCS (Departure Control System), which is one of the Airport Solutions, is currently operational in over 40 airports worldwide setting an impressive record in aviation software history. The product is now the most celebrated new catalyst in freeing aviation entities from the cuffs of expensive infrastructure and cumbersome legacy platforms.
